This private tour is suited to travellers who wish to have a ‘taster’ experience of an Imperial City, the Atlantic Moroccan Coastline, the Kasbah lined Dades Valley and the most accessible and therefore popular Erg Chebbi Dune sets at Merzouga. It offers you ‘bite-sized’ experiences of Morocco’s rich regional and cultural diversity.

Description

This is a Desert Inclusive Tour and can be customised should you wish to extend your stay. You can also extend your Desert stay to two nights comprising one night in a Desert Hotel on arrival with additional exploration of the Sahara and activities the following day and one night at Desert Camp. Our compact one week ‘Sparkling Atlantic Coast & Dazzling Desert Dunes’ offers you an active, fast-paced insight into many varied regional landscapes including the most visited of the Moroccan Dune sets, accessed by journeying through the Kasbah filled Dades Valley.

You visit iconic sites in Casablanca and Marrakech before departing on a Desert tour into the more commercialised and therefore busy of the dune regions, particularly during peak Spring, Autumn and Winter holiday periods.

You travel through an incredible Kasbah lined geological area to reach the iconic Todra Gorge and ‘monkey fingers’ rock formations of the Dades Valley before accessing the Sahara directly from the Saharan town of Merzouga.

You later exchange the ochre sands and towering dunes of the Desert for remote mountain Berber villages and palm-filled oases routes, for the white sands at the coastal medieval port town of Essaouira.

After a refreshment or breakfast tour the ornate interior and exterior of Hassan 11 Mosque.
Lunch on Corniche with Atlantic Ocean View.
Alternatively, have lunch at ‘Ricks café’ a post-Casablanca movie creation.
Transfer from Casablanca to Marrakech.
Arrive Marrakech approx late afternoon / early evening.

Day 2: Marrakech.

Visit remote kasbah Telouet.

Visit Kelaa M’gouna, the ‘Rose Town’.

We depart the Desert Camp with an approx 1hr Camel ride to Merzouga.
Transfer into our 4×4 for a different mountain route out of the Sahara.
