Tour Plan
Day 1 Casablanca Arrival
Pick up at Mohamed V airport and transfer to the hotel. According to the time of arrival, possibility of visiting the Hassan II mosque, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 2 Marrakesh guided city tour
Today can be spent discovering Marrakech, the southern imperial city. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque and admire its tower, the Saadian tombs of the 16th century; all decorated with colorful mosaic tiles, the 19th century Bahia Palace with its beautiful oriental architecture. take a break for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the fascinating Souks (local markets) and the narrow streets around Djemâa El-Fna. In the evening, delight yourself with snake charmers, singers, acrobats, dancers, narrators and storytellers, who move from one group to another and spend the night at the hotel/Riad.
Day 3 Marrakech - Telouat - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate
Departure after breakfast crossing the High Atlas by the port of Tizi Ntichka (2260m above sea level) then we deviate by a track visiting the Kasbah of Telouet. cross Berber villages to reach the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, where several famous films were shot such as Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penélope Cruz ... free time for lunch in the village and continue to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel/Riad.
Day 4 Ouarzazate - Skoura - Dades Valley
After breakfast, a brief visit of the city of Ouarzazate, considered as the gateway to the great desert and the place from where the great expeditions, where the Taourirt Kasbah stands, and the main palace of Glaoui, Grand Pasha of South of Morocco. . We continue towards the valley of roses through Skoura, boumalne dades until reaching the Gardes del Dades. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5 Dades Valley - Todra Grgantas - Merzouga (Desert)
Departure on a road dotted with different kasbahs. After several stops, we reach one of the strong points of tourism in the south: the Todra Gorge. The Todra River Canal has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty, it is a paradise for mountaineers and a unique place. We will continue our way south. Free lunch en route and continuation in the desert until the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Have a nice meal for dinner under the stars or inside the restaurant. Later, you may want to stretch your legs in the soft sand dunes stargazing and enjoying the absolute tranquility. Have a relaxing sleep in your en-suite room.
DAY 6 Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - Merzouga
After breakfast, you will spend most of the day exploring what the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi has to offer. You will get an insight into the traditional system of irrigation known as “Khettaras”, which consists of conveying water to the oasis by a digging wells and interconnecting them with an underground channel. Visit the Khamlia village, which is resided by black Africans brought as slaves and are known for the Gnawa Music they tend to perform to guest-visitors.
We will have a complete tour around the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi offering miraculous view. Visit a local nomad family offering an opportunity to learn about their unique style of life before driving back to our hotel/Riad for the highlight of the desert experience.
Go on a camel ride experience enjoying the breathtaking views of the sunset before getting to the desert camp where you will spend the night.
DAY 7 Merzouga - Midelt - Fes
Wake up in the early morning, we will invite you to climb up the soft sand dune and attend the impressive view of the sunrise. After having breakfast under the sunlight, we will head north to Fes through the palm Valley of Ziz where we will include a short break for taking pictures, then Midelt which is known for growing apples.
Meet the Barbary Macaques in the UNESCO preserved cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, then stretch your legs in the charming town of Ifran before reaching Fes in the late afternoon.
DAY 8 Fez guided city tour
After having breakfast in your Riad/hotel, you’ll spend the day exploring what Fes has to offer with an expert English speaking tour guide. Fes or Fez is the oldest Imperial Capital of Morocco that was founded by Moulay Idriss I in the 8th century. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest urban car-free districts in the world.
Enjoy the panoramic view of the Fes el-Bali (oldest Fes) atop the hill, then drive to the Royal Palace with its beautiful bronze gates. You’ll stretch your legs in the Mella (former Jewish Quarter) with the possibility to make a visit to the synagogue. From there, you’ll get into the oldest Fes with its tiny alleyways that reveal countless secrets (don’t worry, your tour guide will unveil them for you).
You’ll visit the tanneries where the leather is made using traditional methods. Learn about the Medersas & Koranic schools including Bou Inania, Quarawyyine (the oldest formal university in the Islamic World)…the tour includes a visit to the museums and Funduks…In the late afternoon, your private tour guide will escort you back to your Riad/hotel.
DAY 9 Fez - Volubilis - Meknes
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in Fes, we will resume our journey by driving south to the charming city of Meknes crossing the spectacular Rif Mountains, and passing by the Roman Ruins of Volubilis. Have a walking tour around the Ruins while learning about the Roman civilisation that settled in the north of Africa.
Later, we will head to the mysterious city of Meknes where we will start our tour from the impressive Bab Mansour, meander around the local olive market, the vibrant el-Hedim Square, visit Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, drive through the walls of the royal palace to the granaries and stables. It is, in these stables, the Sultan Moulay Ismail used to look after and feed his 12000 horses.
DAY 10 Meknes – Ouazzane – Chefchaouen
Later, we will head to Chefchaouen driving through the fertile agricultural plain of Gharb and Ouazzane. Once we in the blue-city, we will spend the rest of the day exploring and enjoying the magic of the blue-city of Chefchaouen. You may want to start your tour by the dramatic Kasbah, which is located in the heart of the Medina. This Kasbah (fortress) has a rich history that goes back to the 15th century when Moulay Ali Ibn Rashid decided to construct this fortress to fight against the Spanish and Portuguese Invaders.
Get lost in the beautifully-painted streets of Chefchaouen while enjoying the local culture passing by the public Hammam, Mosques & communal bakeries. Get to Ras el-Ma Spring that offers panoramic views, then include a soft hike uphill where you can get a complete view of the Medina.
Later, you will get back to the strategic Utta el Hammam Square, which is the cultural hub of the Medina with its lined cafes and restaurants. Enjoy a meal while watching the passers-by.
DAY 11 Chefchaouen - Tangier - Rabat
After breakfast, we will leave Chefchaouen for another beautiful city in northern Morocco. We drive to Tangier, the capital of the north. In Tangier we will visit the Portuguese Kasbah, Cape Spartel and the Heracles Caves. Then continue to Assilah, another ancient Portuguese fortress famous for its colorful walls. Stop for lunch, then drive to the capital of Morocco (Rabat). Night at your hotel/ riad.
DAY 12 Rabat – Casablanca
Guided tour of the city of Rabat including the royal palace where the king of Morocco lives, after visiting the tombs of royal merinids in the Kasbah chelah, then visit the mausoleum of Mohamed V where King Mohamed 5 was buried with two of his son, Moulay Abdellah and Hassan II. Visit the old Kasbah Oudayas of Moresque before leaving for Casablanca.
DAY 13 Casablanca airport
Breakfast and free morning, at the agreed time transfer to the airport, end of the tour.
