Tour Plan

DAY1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Valley

After having breakfast in your accommodation in the ochre city of Marrakech, your private driver/guide will pick you up at 07:30 am for your 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes. Drive through the spectacular High-Atlas Mountains with its snow-capped peaks throughout the winter season offering majestic views for memorable pictures. We will then cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), get to the dramatic Ait Benhaddou, listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Ait Benhaddou consists of numerous Kasbahs (fortresses) being in the formerly caravan route that used to connect Marrakech with the Sahara Desert & the Atlas Mountains. After lunch, continue on the track to the Dades Valley driving through Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) where you might want to make a visit to the famous Atlas Film Studios.

Day2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

Today, we will head further south to Merzouga desert including a short break in the impressive Todra Gorge where you will stretch your legs while enjoying the breathtaking views of this high-cliff. The Todra Gorge has been attracting mountain climbers and nature-seekers from all over the world along with the locals who come here to escape the boiling regions.

Cross the city of Erfoud, which is known for the dates market and fossil excavation. Once we arrive in the desert of Merzouga, you will go on a camel back to attend the majestic view of the sunset atop the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Return to the desert camp where our staff members will welcome you with mint tea and pastries as a Moroccan ritual.

Enjoy your dinner under the stars or inside the tented restaurant followed by a time of entertainment performed by the staff members using drums and castanets. Culminate the day with a relaxing sleep in your en-suite tent

Day3: Merzouga Desert - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes

Wake up in the early morning, we will invite you to climb up the soft sand dune and attend the impressive view of the sunrise. After having breakfast under the sunlight, we head north to Fes through the palm Valley of Ziz where we will include a short break for taking pictures, then Midelt which is known for growing apples.

Meet the Barbary Macaques in the UNESCO preserved cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, then stretch your legs in the charming town of Ifran before reaching Fes in the late afternoon.
